Job description

Synechron is looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to work on Data and Salesforce programmes of work within the energy sector. The role is critical in ensuring end-to-end delivery, ensuring work is planned, governed, and delivered in a manner that supports the organisation’s responsibilities for energy system reliability, transformation, and regulatory compliance.

Role
  • Identifying delivery challenges, driving clear ownership, and ensuring timely resolution
  • Own delivery of large, complex, and often multi-year initiatives
  • Manage upwards to senior stakeholders, including Executive and C‑Suite, providing clear options, recommendations, and delivery insight
  • Build, lead, and sustain high‑performing delivery teams, including internal staff and suppliers
  • Maintain a strong focus on outcomes and measurable success, using data to demonstrate progress and impact
  • Balance delivery pace with operational, regulatory, and system risk
  • Apply deep experience across the software lifecycle (build, deploy, run) to inform delivery decisions
  • Ensure dependencies across technology, operations, policy, data, and external parties are identified, understood, and actively managed
  • Proactively manage delivery risks, issues, and escalations
  • Work closely with assurance, architecture, security, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance and delivery integrity
  • Define and manage stakeholders using structured approaches, including OKRs, metrics, and outcome‑based measures
  • Act as a key interface between: technology and delivery teams, business and operational leaders, external vendors and delivery partners, senior executives and governance forums
Experience
  • 10+ years experience in delivery leadership roles
  • Proven experience working in a highly regulated, safety‑critical environments ensuring appropriate controls and governance are in place
  • Strong delivery focus with a track record of problem‑solving and outcome delivery
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple teams, suppliers, and partners
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organisations, influence senior stakeholders, and maintain delivery under pressure

This is a permanent or inside IR35 contract role - Strong market rates - Feb start date - Likely long term - Predominantly remote work with occasional travel required
