A leading landscape architecture firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Landscape Architect to join their team. The successful individual will support with the delivery of a broad portfolio of projects, including a range of strategic projects with a particular focus on addressing the climate emergency. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to support our team working on a diverse range of landscape planning, design and landscape management projects within a range of contexts. The successful candidate will work as part of our award-winning Landscape Planning & Management team and will demonstrate a keen interest in green infrastructure / strategic design projects. You will enjoy thinking at the landscape scale and working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, often involving collaboration with colleagues in LUC’s broad range of complementary disciplines (such as ecology and planning).
As a Senior / Principal, you will be involved in all stages of project development and will be expected to participate in all aspects of our work, including assisting with generation of new business, project support and administration. Within this role, you will work with the wider team to produce a diverse range of project outputs, ranging from technical reports to high-quality graphics to support wider project delivery.

We are enthusiastic about influencing the wider conversation and policy agenda, promoting positive outcomes for nature, people and place as well as responding to emerging guidance. We draw on the skills and experiences with colleagues in other disciplines including strategic ecology, landscape design, transport planning and environmental planning to fulfil these aims.
The role can be based in LUC’s offices in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, Manchester or Sheffield.
A full-time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday). However, LUC has a strong track record in flexible working, and we have been recognised for our flexible working culture, so we are happy to discuss a range of flexible working options for this role including part time hours (minimum 30 hours per week) if desired.
Salary: £32,500 - £46,000 FTE (Dependent on experience), plus London weighting if applicable
We are looking for an individual with excellent all-round landscape design, management and planning skills, or a particular focus and specialism in a specific area. Whatever your field of expertise, you will need to demonstrate technical competence and project delivery to a high standard.
Your general skills will need to include high quality reporting, graphics, presentation, verbal and written communication.
