What you will do:
  • Manage complex and high-risk children’s cases, including Section 47 child protection enquiries.
  • Complete high-quality statutory assessments in line with the Children Act and Working Together.
  • Provide practice leadership, mentoring and informal supervision to Social Workers and NQSWs.
  • Support the Team Manager with allocation, decision-making and oversight of duty work.
  • Lead multi‑agency working and represent the service at conferences, panels and court when required.
  • Ensure assessments are child‑centred, timely and meet quality standards.
  • Contribute to service improvement, audits, policy development and reflective practice.
