What you will do:

• Provide reflective supervision to social workers, promoting critical thinking and high-quality assessments to ensure best practices are adhered to.
• Oversee a caseload of complex cases, expertly managing risk and guiding decision-making in line with child protection procedures.
• Support the Team Manager by ensuring all statutory timescales and service standards are consistently met.
• Champion best practices through coaching, mentoring, and performance monitoring to elevate the skills within the team.
• Lead on conducting case audits and actively contribute to service improvement initiatives to better serve the community.
• Facilitate and chair strategy discussions, conduct professional meetings, and play a critical role in the care planning processes.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with families and multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and foster their success.
• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and local authority frameworks including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidelines.
