Purpose of the role
As a Senior People Business Partner (SPBP), you will act as a strategic business consultant, deeply embedded in your client groups to drive the delivery of the People strategy. You will partner with senior leaders to solve complex business challenges through people-focused solutions, leveraging data, insights, and systemic HR practices. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of the organization by aligning human capital with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnering – Develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and change agent. Understand business priorities and proactively shape people strategies to support growth and transformation.
- Systemic HR Delivery – Lead the implementation of the BR People Strategy across your client groups and contribute to firmwide initiatives. Collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise (COEs) to deliver integrated, scalable, and impactful HR solutions.
- Employee Experience & Engagement – Champion a data-informed approach to employee experience. Use insights to drive engagement, retention, and performance, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience across the employee lifecycle.
- Talent & Workforce Planning – Support succession planning and leadership development. Partner with Finance, Talent Acquisition, Resourcing and Capability to assess workforce needs, identify skills gaps, and develop sustainable talent strategies.
- Employee Relations Leadership – Work with People Advisory Service to ensure consistency, legal compliance, and best practice in employee relations. Lead on strategic ER projects.
- Agile Project Leadership – Work across cross-functional teams on priority projects, adapting quickly to changing business needs.
- Collaboration Across HR Functions – Build strong relationships with COEs including Talent Acquisition, Capability, Operations, Change and Culture, People Advisory Service to ensure seamless integration of HR services and alignment with business goals.
Person Specification
- Fully CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a strategic HRBP in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into people solutions.
- Expertise in employee relations, performance management, reward, and employment law.
- Demonstrated capability in organization design, change management, and data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Comfortable working in agile structures and cross-functional teams.
- Passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and systemic HR practices.
- Experience in professional services or similar environments is desirable.
