Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Pensions Analyst to join our Client Projects & Data team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the delivery and management of projects and client implementations, working closely with project managers, fellow pensions analysts, and system developers.

The main purpose of this role is to:
  • Initiate and deliver client projects and internal business change projects to time, cost and scope for all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Project Delivery Lead on a day to day basis to manage and allocate project work in the team.
  • Train, support and supervise staff to provide effective delivery of a timely, reliable, accurate and consistent day to day service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continually review and improve processes to deliver better results for revenue requirements and internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Data
  • Manage the analysis of data and data reporting tools to a high standard across various areas of the business to ensure integrity of data and that process and data standards are adhered to.
  • Collect, understand, and document the business processes for data and calculation processes (including data quality reporting). Document data analysis and specifications to a high standard and in line with business document standards.
  • Provide expertise on the processes and systems around data, particularly in relation to pension administration and legislative requirements.
  • Where new or changes to existing processes are required, to develop specifications and assist developers to translate these into functional specifications and develop test strategies/plans.
Client Projects
  • Analysing requirements to scope and define client project work, ensuring estimated effort and costs are accurate.
  • Manage the completion and checking of client project work in line with proposal documents and project plans to expected target dates and to meet revenue requirements, ensuring any potential risk is flagged and mitigated.
  • Document client project work, including client reports, to a high standard and in line with business document standards.
  • Provide expertise on the processes and systems around which a project is focused, particularly in relation to pension administration and legislative requirements.
Implementations
  • Analysing requirements to scope and define client project work identified during the implementation process or as part of tender responses, ensuring estimated effort and costs are accurate.
  • Manage the completion and checking of implementation work in line with proposal documents and project plans to expected target dates and to meet requirements, ensuring any potential risk is flagged and mitigated.
  • Document business process for data migration, calculation set up, image loading and payroll reconciliation work, including decisions and reports, to a high standard and in line with business document standards.
  • Provide expertise on the processes and systems around implementation, particularly in relation to data migration, calculation set up, image load and payroll reconciliation and business data standards.
General Business
  • Business policies and processes: Ensure business policies and processes (including team processes) are followed and promoted to complete work accurately and in line with requirements.
  • Data and Information security: Ensure ISO 27001 processes are followed and that you are compliant with and responsible for the relevant risk and controls that are in place for both 15027001 and the Information Security Management system.
  • Communication: Ensure appropriate communication is undertaken with team members, other areas of the business, end users and the project manager throughout.
  • Facilitating Change: Support and encourage the introduction and adoption of new procedures through documentation and communication. Support and encourage the introduction of change within business areas.
  • Business Improvement: Suggest and develop ideas to improve efficiency and quality of service and provide input and support to business development opportunities, both within the immediate team and wider business.
