Job summary

A leading mental health service provider in Salford is seeking a part-time Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team until July 2026. This role involves providing assessments, interventions, and care planning for individuals in mental health crisis. Candidates should have a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and experience in mental health services. Qualifications

  • Experience of working within mental health services post qualifying.
  • Experience of working within urgent care mental health settings either as a student or post qualifying.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and cognitive Occupational Therapy assessments to service users.
  • Deal with complex physical and mental health needs.
  • Work with service users and their carers/family members.
  • Provide professional advice for junior and support staff.

Skills

Ability to complete and report on comprehensive OT assessments to the wider team
Ability to complete comprehensive risk assessments
Able to support and sign off Occupational Therapy students on placement
Ability to complete mental state examinations

Education

BSc (Hons) Degree in Occupational Therapy
Any further qualifications or training relevant to the role
