Senior Football Trader – Sporting Solutions

This role reports to the Head of Football and includes line‑management duties for traders. It involves overseeing the offer at all stages of the market life cycle, ensuring quality assurance at each stage to maximise revenues and minimise client contacts. B2B partner requirements must be at the forefront of all trader’s thoughts. The role focuses on day‑to‑day management of the Football Trading team and ensuring all pricing, trading and operational tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Focus on rapidly expanding in‑house Football Player service through efficient model manipulation with price and liability monitoring
  • Provide detailed feedback to the internal quantitative team for model and pricing improvements
  • Assist Head of Football with testing requirements across full Football product and ensure clear feedback is provided to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure Football Trading team as a whole are carrying out duties and responsibilities to highest possible standard and take appropriate steps if/when this is not the case, in consultation with Head of Football
  • Provide timely adjustments to trading models/platforms and monitoring of market conditions to maintain accurate pre‑match outputs
  • Prepare trading models for in‑play events through accurate entry of pricing variables using the underlying market as a basis
  • Ensure accurate entry of in‑play match data for in‑play events
  • Monitor SSLN partner trackers to inform price movements, pre‑match and in‑play
  • Perform operational tasks in relation to maintaining an efficient pricing and trading service for Risk Managed Services (RMS) partners
  • Liaise with Managed Trading Services (MTS) department to ensure all SSLN trading related obligations are fulfilled to the highest possible standard
  • Add tags and comments on RMS partners betflow to aid retrospective client management by Performance Analysis team
  • Ensure accurate entry of in‑play match data for in‑play events
  • Have awareness of wholesale client requirements depending on sport/jurisdiction/market liquidity
  • Communicate with Front Line Support during trading to ensure accurate and efficient service is provided to all clients
  • Apply industry knowledge and experience to help train, develop and mentor new, and existing, members of the team
  • Carry out line management duties for Junior Trader and Trader level team members, including objective setting and appraisal meetings
