Senior Finance Business Partner – Lotto & Instant Win Games

We are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join the Commercial Planning and Trading team to support commercial decision making across key parts of the organisation. This senior role within the team will partner the Head of Lotto and Head of Interactive Instant Win Games (IIWGs) to drive their categories commercial growth ambitions.

What you’ll be doing
  • Main finance point of contact for Lotto and IIWG game categories, providing senior business partner support to the Head of Lotto and Head of Interactive Instant Win Games across all commercial activities to drive forward the commercial growth ambition of the two games.
  • Lead end‑to‑end P&L management from gross sales revenue to net margin, ensuring performance drivers versus target are fully understood and clearly articulated, alongside the identification of any risks or opportunities to the category’s commercial targets.
  • Lead category forecasting across the P&L, ensuring it reflects current performance trends, planned future activity and supports the growth ambitions of the business. This includes providing regular commercial outturns and developing the forecasts as part of the annual planning process and quarterly reforecasting cycles.
  • Provide finance support for critical ‘Go to Market’ activities including KPI development such as Sales, Player Participation and ARPU targets to ensure the business can effectively monitor the performance of new initiatives and identify any commercial risks or opportunities associated with its launch and subsequent execution against key assumptions.
  • Lead development, analysis and oversight for the commercial cases for new activity. This includes developing commercial models to forecast the impact of the activity, working with key stakeholders and analytical teams to develop robust assumptions, developing stakeholder presentations and business cases outlining the planned impact of the activity.
  • Hold performance reviews and benefit tracking of commercial activity, collaborating with wider analytical teams across the business as required, challenging where necessary to ensure there is a clear commercial narrative and understanding of performance. This includes supporting post‑investment review and benefit realisation of business cases.
  • Own and manage the monitoring of prize funds, which includes financial control requirements as well as ensuring these are utilised to maximise returns to good causes, whilst ensuring their use meets our regulatory obligations and licence commitments.
  • Provide finance support for jackpot estimation process for each draw ensuring marketing and channel content and representation of game jackpots are accurate and in line with our licence requirements.
  • Manage cost control of IIWG game development costs, ensuring its use delivers optimal net margin and is line with forecast expectations.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Highly numerate with the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, including large data sets
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate complex financial and non‑financial information to non‑finance stakeholders, especially using MS PowerPoint
  • Commercial awareness and ability to apply this to performance management, decision making and commercial recommendations
  • Experience in a similar Commercial Finance role
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Lookups, Pivots, Data Visualisation), data manipulation and financial modelling
  • Strategic mindset including ability to influence at all levels.
  • Self‑starter with a keen attention to detail, independent thinking and ability to prioritise workload and key tasks
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud preferred
  • Experience with Power BI tools preferred
  • Strong communication skills – will have regular exposure to senior stakeholders and a range of stakeholders across different parts of the business
  • Trusted business partner – will engage a wide variety of stakeholders across the business
