Job description

Solent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and highly motivated Senior Finance Assistant to join our Central Trust team.

Personal attributes

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing, busy team.You will be based at The Acorns in Cosham, but some cross-site working may be required across our other schools in the Trust.

The post is for a minimum of 25 hours per week, more hours may be available. There may be an opportunity for the candidate to be sponsored for further finance and accountancy qualifications.

The successful candidate will:

  • support with the maintenance of the purchase and sales ledgers for the Trust
  • support the Senior Finance Officer with the weekly supplier bacs run
  • ensure all paperwork is completed and filed
  • contribute to the effective working of both the Finance Team and Central Trust Team by participating in team meetings and suggesting improved ways of working
  • be prepared to work flexibly during busy periods
