Job Description
As a Senior Finance Applications Specialist (Oracle EPBCS), you will shape the future of how Bupa reports and plans across our global business, playing a key role in day‑to‑day running and future development of the Oracle EPBCS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to/drive the translation of functional requirements and Excel modelling to application design and configuration.
- Participate or lead initiatives to identify appropriate technology solutions, working closely with the Finance Transformation and Project Management teams.
- Own part of the Oracle EPBCS system delivery of new initiatives to benefit ESG and FP&A Reporting teams.
- Lead and own Oracle EPBCS development components including Data forms / Narrative Reports, Data synchronisations and calculations, and MS Power BI reports.
- Support testing and end‑user training of new initiatives.
- Drive end‑to‑end process flow and data requirements to support ESG reporting (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) and inter‑dependencies with other reporting processes.
- Support Management Reporting and Financial Planning processes during peak reporting cycles and deadlines.
- Lead operation of the Oracle applications, ensuring appropriate controls and governance are in place; collect, assess and implement functionality improvements and configuration changes to support efficient reporting.
- Provide a great level of service to the ESG reporting team and act as the go‑to person for all system‑related activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Customer‑oriented mindset with exceptional verbal communication skills.
- Solid technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret & present data clearly.
- Strong finance process understanding, at least in one of ESG Reporting, Financial Reporting (Statutory, Regulatory or Management), or Non‑Financial Reporting.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions; understanding of Groovy scripting is a plus.
- Experience operating large‑scale finance systems in a complex or regulated environment.
- Understanding of demands in a large global company and its financial reporting process.
- Ability to manage project schedules and workloads within a collaborative team framework.
- Professional accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) considered a plus.
