Join to apply for the Senior Engineer / Geologist role at SOCOTEC UK & Ireland. This position focuses on leading ground‑investigation projects across the United Kingdom, ensuring high‑quality geotechnical data for construction and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and programme Ground Investigation projects at multiple sites throughout the UK.
• Prepare Health & Safety documentation and manage site safety for operatives.
• Liaise with clients, engineers and main contractors during site works.
• Compile monthly financial project accounts and assist the GI Projects Manager in maintaining project financial performance.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in a geotechnical discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site‑based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for roads and railways.
• 5 – 10 years relevant site and industry experience.
