Cape Consulting is seeking a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join a respected builders’ merchant group in the South of England. The role involves providing expert guidance on employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with legal and best practices. Candidates should have strong experience in handling ER casework, exceptional communication skills, and ideally be CIPD qualified. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Employee Relations
Advisor to join this collaborative HR Team. You’ll provide expert, commercial guidance to managers
on a wide range of matters, ensuring legal compliance and best practice, whilst always providing
About The Opportunity:
- You will provide value-added, commercial and legally compliant service to managers on
employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, pay and benefits, and
performance management
- Support HR processes and maintain accurate colleague records
- Contribute to HR policy development and project delivery
- Ensure compliance with employment law and data protection regulations
About You:
- Experience handling complex ER casework including disciplinaries and grievances
- You’ll be experienced supporting a customer-facing geographically dispersed workforce
- Support organisational change planning, TUPE experience
- Your approach to every task is always with a solid commercial mindset
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own time, coupled with a high level of resilience
- Strong communication and problem- solving skills are a must
- The ability to take the initiative, identify issues, explore underlying causes, always
maintaining confidentiality
- Ideally CIPD qualified or working towards it
- Full driving licence as occasional travel to offices and branches around the South of England as required
