Job title: Senior Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Warrington - Hybrid (3 days in office)

Job type: Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Duration: 12 months (rolling contract)

Our Client an Engineering company are seeking an experienced Senior Controls and Instrumentation Engineer for a permanent and contract position in Warrington location. This role is placed within Oil & Gas, Construction or highly regulated industry. We have both contract and staff positions available.

Role

Senior Controls and Instrumentation Engineer role involves delivering high-quality Controls and Instrumentation engineering and design solutions across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer, As a Senior EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for the production of the EC&I design within EPCM or EPC projects. These projects will range across the full lifecycle from concept to commissioning, in both green and brownfield applications. You are responsible to complete the C&I Engineering and Design as set out in the Project Scope and the projects will be delivered for all the major sectors (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food). You shall support the Lead Engineer in delivering the C&I design, Process design, quality of the C&I design. You shall be able to deliver projects in a multi-discipline environment and be capable of coordinating all C&I engineering, with the other disciplines, Mechanical, Civil and Structural, Process and Automation. Experience with construction, testing and commissioning activities required by Engineering to support post design activities (preferred).

Your profile
  • More than 3 years of experience as a Controls and Instrumentation C&I Engineer, in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company.
  • Good knowledge of C&I engineering and design, but you also have a sound knowledge of the other disciplines (Automation, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Process).
  • Good understanding of both the Control and Instrumentation discipline, capable of leading designs for both discipline.
  • MEng / MSc / BSc / BEng in C&I Engineering
  • Because of the variety of projects that we execute, we are looking for both experienced and less experienced candidates.
  • Sound understanding of the current British and International Standards.
  • Industry experience: Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Food.
