Key Responsibilities of the Senior Controls Engineer

• Design, plan, and develop PLC control solutions.
• Assist in the development of OT layer cyber‑security solutions.
• Produce technical documentation, complete specifications, costings, and a time plan for each assigned project.
• Write the Functional Design Specification (FDS) for projects as required and coordinate with colleagues within Engineering and Systems to ensure alignment of functionality and interfaces.
• Develop PLC software and HMI code for projects and commission the software on site.
• Provide support to other departments and participate in design planning.

Qualifications & Experience needed for the Senior Controls Engineer

• Expertise in Siemens TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, Siemens TIA Safety.
• Experience with VFD control, safety hardware, barcode readers, and Allen‑Bradley PLC programming.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131.
• Degree, HND or HNC in Engineering and competence in Windows‑based systems.
