This role is based in Farnborough, Hampshire with 2 days per week in the office. Our office is within walking distance of the train station and has free parking. This is a full-time position, however work life balance is important to us and so we are open to discussion on flexible working patterns (minimum 4 days per week).

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 p.a. + bonus
About the role:

As a skilled and detail-focused copy editor, you will serve as the editorial quality gatekeeper, ensuring all online and offline written materials are clear, consistent and are aligned with the tone of voice for all our distinct brands.

With a focus on campaign copywriting, web content, email copy and product listings, you will manage our Content Executives on not just quality but also help manage workflow and prioritisation with the guidance of our Head of Content.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and relevant external agencies on all briefs, bringing a strong understanding of persuasive, on-brand copy, the nuances of different channels, and the importance of SEO.

  • Experience as a copy editor, content editor, or similar editorial role.
  • Strong foundation in copywriting principles with the ability to recognise and refine persuasive, engaging copy.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and online UX best practices as well as familiarity with content management systems and project management tools.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, along with strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly adaptable, with the ability to handle shifting priorities, make quick decisions, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to positively influence stakeholders and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to measurable improvements in content performance, SEO visibility or brand consistency.
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and inspiring content teams to achieve outstanding results.
