A healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Mental Health Support Worker in Newcastle City Centre to provide safe, effective support to young people experiencing mental health crises. The part-time role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience and relevant qualifications, focusing on collaboration and support in both in-person and online settings. The position offers flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with a chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Location: Newcastle City Centre
Employer: Everyturn Mental Health (working in partnership with Streetwise & Children North East)
Job Type: Part-Time (up to 22.5 hours per week, mostly weekend and evening work)
Enhancements paid for evenings, weekends and bank holidays
We’re excited to be opening a brand-new Children and Young People’s Safe Haven in Newcastle and Gateshead City Centres in January 2026, a warm, welcoming space where young people can get immediate support during times of mental health distress. This innovative service is a partnership between Everyturn Mental Health-Streetwise, and Children North East, and we’re looking for a passionate Senior Mental Health Support Worker to help co‑coordinate and delivery this services.
As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll provide safe, welcoming, and effective support to young people both in‑person and online. You’ll work closely with the Team Lead to coordinate projects, provide peer support to the delivery team, and ensure high‑quality outcomes for the young people who access the service.
