Senior Adult Learning Tutor – BSL (Annualised)

Job: Senior Adult Learning Tutor – Annualised

Location: County Hall, Norwich

Contract: Permanent, 0.3 FTE, Annualised hours, Salary £37,280 – £39,152 per annum pro rata (Scale I)

We are looking for a qualified, skilled, self‑motivated, enthusiastic and highly organised individual to provide inspirational teaching to learners in British Sign Language (BSL).

Responsibilities & duties
  • Work closely as part of the Foundation Learning Skills curriculum team to deliver high‑quality teaching to Norfolk residents.
  • Dedicated to improving life outcomes for post‑19 learners and will deliver sessions online and/or in the community throughout Norfolk.
Skills and experience required
  • A learner‑centred, active approach with appreciation of virtual and hybrid learning.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, web‑based learning programmes and ability to learn in‑house database systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Work well within a team environment.
  • Awareness of data protection, safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and information management.
Support and development

If you have the relevant vocational or occupational skills but do not currently hold a teaching qualification, Adult Learning may be able to provide funding to help you obtain the required qualification. You will be part of a well‑established, supportive team and training will be provided.
