Job Role

We guarantee a minimum of 5 hours of work per week (Monday to Friday), with the option to extend up to 25 hours if desired. Sessions are scheduled around your existing commitments to give you freedom and balance with your personal life.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in the Solihull area.
  • Prepare and deliver tutoring sessions to best meet the student's SEN requirements – particularly ADHD and ASC/ASD.
  • Develop individual curricula for students.
  • Clarify and teach subject matter.
  • Assess and report on students' knowledge on a regular basis.
  • Be a mentor to students.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of the students you work with.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in working with SEN students.
  • Qualified primary or secondary school teacher with 2+ years' experience.
  • Good working knowledge of how to work with SEN students.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible, organized and reliable.
  • Own transport and able to work in students' homes.
Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in a teaching or tutoring role.
  • Ideally have QTS.
  • Passionate about helping students and young people grow and achieve.
  • Outstanding record of academic achievement.
  • Committed to the safeguarding of all young people.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends.
  • DBS certification.
