Overview

Applications are invited for the post of Semi‑skilled Maintenance Assistant within the site‑based Estates Operational Maintenance team. The Semi‑skilled Assistant will be part of an estates maintenance team which includes various craftspersons, ensuring that plant and equipment are maintained to an appropriate standard to support clinical service departments in their prime task of treating patients. The appointed individual will support the site operational management as part of a 6 person shift rota basis, covering seven days of a week. The shift pattern is as follows: 06.00‑14.00, 08.00‑16.00 and 14.00‑22.00 hrs. This includes public holidays.

Responsibilities

Working within the Maintenance Policies & Procedures, you will be required to maintain and repair a variety of complex Mechanical/Electrical equipment, plant and services in conjunction with undertaking a range of duties associated with other trades, as appropriate i.e., multi‑skilling. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the environment is both pleasant and safe for patients, staff and visitors, together with maximising organisational effectiveness that will improve service delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
