Overview

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Security Supervisor to safeguard a prominent facility in London. The role is a dual security supervisor with a supporting role to the client. The successful applicant will have a background in Security Supervision, managing a small team and able to manage on site security services reporting to the AM.

Position: Security Supervisor

Pay rate: £14.42 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1900hrs = 60 hrs per week

Location: WC2B, London

Role Requirements: SIA License

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion
  • Report any issues to the duty manager
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner
  • Provide regular foot patrols within defined areas as an effective deterrent in the protection of the client’s property and assets
  • Provide a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Deal with conflict in an appropriate manner if required
  • Write up incidents to the standard expected by Management
  • Carry out ID checks
  • Be vigilant to Health and Safety risks
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills to all levels – verbally, written, phone and by security radios
  • Work effectively as part of a team or on own initiative
  • Maintain a positive attitude to dealing with people and taking on challenges
Must Have
  • Valid SIA licence
  • Proven work experience as a Security Supervisor - min 1 year
  • Robust leadership and supervision skills, adept at inspiring and efficiently managing teams
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Outlook
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
  • Reliability including punctuality and attendance to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to analyse security issues and devise effective solutions
  • IT literate—ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
