About The Role

East Kent Colleges Group is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Schools and Events Officer to join our Marketing and Student Recruitment team. This is a varied, outward-facing role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to make a real difference by inspiring young people and their influencers across our local communities.

Working at the heart of our outreach activity, you will help raise awareness of the wide range of education and career opportunities available at EKC Group through engaging events, workshops and school-based activities. You’ll be a confident communicator, an excellent organiser and someone who thrives on collaboration and being out in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of an annual calendar of schools engagement, community outreach and recruitment events
  • Coordinate and support College open events, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for prospective students and families
  • Deliver engaging workshops, presentations and activities in schools and community settings to raise aspirations
  • Work closely with colleagues across Colleges and Business Units to develop impactful outreach activity
  • Build strong relationships with local schools, community organisations and external stakeholders
  • Act as a professional and positive ambassador for East Kent Colleges Group
  • Travel regularly across East Kent to support events and engagement activity

About You

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and confident Schools and Events Officer who thrives on engaging with people and making a positive impact. This is a dynamic, outward‑facing role for someone with strong communication skills, a creative approach and a genuine passion for inspiring young people.

You will be a visible ambassador for the Group, working across East Kent to build relationships, deliver engaging initiatives and bring our education offer to life in schools and community settings.

  • Comfortable travelling across East Kent to work with a wide range of internal colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Experienced in creating and delivering engaging presentations, workshops or activities (experience with young people would be an advantage)

  • Proactive and confident when meeting new people and representing the organisation
