SAP Business Technology Platform Subject Matter Expert

This role is a unique chance to be part of the SAP Netweaver team at Capgemini, focusing on developing applications on SAP’s Business Technology Platform using the latest technologies, including SAP HANA, Node.js, and Java.

As leaders in SAP technologies, we look to ensure our consultants are educated and well equipped in the latest SAP technologies/offerings, providing a vast amount of free learning and SAP certifications.

About our UK SAP Practice Team: Capgemini UK is a leading SAP Integration Partner, helping our clients navigate through complex SAP transformations. We work closely with our clients to transform their business together using the latest SAP products and architecture, a deep knowledge of industries and markets, and innovative delivery methodologies.

Your role

• Design & development of cloud applications and services on the SAP Business Technology Platform using tools such as Node.js, Express, Java, & Spring.
• Experience in Kubernetes preferred
• Ensuring quality delivery of our technology solutions
• Monitoring and maintenance of cloud applications
• Design and build low code/no code applications and Workzone portals
• Ability to lead a solution bringing the right people to work together to achieve the goal.
• Provide support to sales, contribute to bids, and engage with potential clients around cloud application strategy and services.
• Ability to work well with our Rightshore capability
• Keep up to date with the latest SAP technologies and changing implementation methods
• Peer reviewing software changes and upholding high standards in software development

Your skills and experience

Have knowledge of the SAP business technology platform and implementation methodologies. An enthusiasm to learn more about the latest services on SAP BTP and how current and future products evolve.

Client facing experience with good communication skills

Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines is essential for a fast-paced environment

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Strong development skills in Node.js and Java
• Understanding and experience of an API first approach to delivery
• Experience with Core Data Services (CDS) and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
• Provide thought leadership on development in BTP
• Extensive experience with Business Technology Platform and cloud applications
• In-depth knowledge of Microservices, RESTful practices, and 12 factor app methodology
• Experience in Agile methodologies and processes
• Knowledge on the Kyma and Cloud Foundry runtime
• Experience designing and programming applications in Public/Private/Hybrid Cloud environments
