Job Title: Sales Executive

Location: Various UK locations

Nippon Express UK has key offices and logistics centres in London, Glasgow, Manchester, and other strategic locations, and plays a crucial role in facilitating trade between Japan, the UK, and Europe. What are we looking for?

As we strengthen our sales team across the UK, we are seeking a Sales Executive with extensive experience within Air, Sea and Road Freight sales. This is a field sales position covering either the Midlands or London and the surrounding areas. You will drive new business development by selling NX Air, Sea, Road, and Warehousing products, while building strong relationships with new and existing customers to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue. You should be a resilient, determined salesperson with experience in targeting, researching, and managing the sales process through to order and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new opportunities through various means to qualify and develop prospects
  • Build a strong portfolio of accounts from targeted business development and existing networks
  • Cold call and schedule regular meetings with prospects and established clients, providing a consultative service and upselling where appropriate
  • Promote Nippon products & services through product presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with the UK sales team to plan and execute sales strategies to increase profitability
  • Act as initial point of contact for commercial customer enquiries, escalations and queries
  • Submit personal budgets, opportunity pipelines and weekly activity reports using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Identify ways to improve services and quality to encourage continued business development
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures with operational departments to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts
  • Manage client base in nominated areas and resolve early-stage operational and financial issues
