What we’re looking for

We are strengthening our UK sales team and seek a Sales Executive with extensive experience in Air, Sea and Road Freight sales. The role is field-based, focused on generating new business and building strong relationships with new and existing customers to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue. You will manage the sales process from lead generation through order and delivery, requiring resilience, initiative, and the ability to target, research, and pursue new business leads.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect and develop new opportunities through telemarketing, direct mail, and client visits to qualify and develop prospects
  • Build a portfolio of accounts from targeted business development and existing networks
  • Cold call and schedule regular meetings with prospects and clients, providing a consultative service including upselling where appropriate
  • Promote Nippon products and services via presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with the UK sales team to plan strategies that increase personal and group profitability
  • Act as initial point of contact for commercial enquiries, escalations and queries
  • Submit regular budgets, opportunity pipelines, and weekly activity reports using Salesforce or similar tools
  • Identify ways to improve services and quality to encourage ongoing business
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts
  • Manage client base in nominated areas, addressing operational and financial issues in collaboration with operations
