- You’ll use a warm and friendly approach to help customers plan travel trade groups, business stays, meetings, events and celebrations.
- You’ll love selling, supporting and working with the team to boost revenue.
- You’ll have an eye for detail and like following tasks through to the end.
- You’ll be able to spot opportunities where we can help our customers in a proactive manner to boost hotel sales.
- You’ll be well organised and enjoy building relationships with our customers and guests.
- You’ll communicate well with all your colleagues keeping everyone up to date with the information they need.
- You will be self-motivated and be able to use your initiative to find sales leads, make an extra sale and make a customer happy.
Sales Executive Areas of Responsibility
- Work with our customers to pro-actively build relationships and help make sure they return to the Inverness Palace Hotel.
- Identify business opportunities for local companies for bedrooms sales to meeting room sales and functions / events.
- Proactively work with Travel Trade customers to make the Inverness Palace their first choice for their groups.
- Create proposal offers for clients and respond timely to customer enquiries and provide accommodation solutions to confirm their booking.
- Work with marketing partners to deliver bedrooms in the low-season through leisure break activity and packages.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and databases for all client communications and contacts.
- Be able to review and analyse market data and identify areas for growth.
- Increase brand awareness across all platforms.
Skills for Sales Executive
- Customer service & sales experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.
- You must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You must be confident speaking with all different types of customers from business execs to people planning family gatherings, meetings or a girls weekends away.
- You must have professional communication skills for meeting customers for hotel show rounds.
- Excellent written communications skills for responding to emails.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills to deliver sales activity.
- Excellent follow up and chase for sales activity to return bookings.
- Strong digital skills using Excel, Word & Outlook and other tools such as Canva and other job-related web platforms.
- This role has the potential for continued growth with a view to becoming the hotel Sales Manager.
