Safeguarding for small MD family charity - Volunteer

Muscle Help Foundation is seeking a volunteer safeguarding trustee to support the governance of our small, family‑centred charity. This role focuses on keeping vulnerable children, young people and adults (8‑35 yrs) living with muscular dystrophy safe and well.

What difference will you make?

  • Help improve the lives of vulnerable people and their families.
  • Ensure our safeguarding policy is fit‑for‑purpose and up to date with external guidance.
  • Identify and recommend changes to safeguarding policies, procedures and work practices.
  • Support the procurement of safeguarding training for trustees and other staff.
  • Work with and support the CEO on safeguarding matters.
  • Act as a storyteller and advocate, promoting the charity’s work across your network.
  • Receive induction, support and training.
  • Bring lived experience and skills for the benefit of others.
