Retail Human Resources Manager – Lovisa Pty Ltd
This role is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day HR Operations in Lovisa’s retail and support centre teams, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and driving initiatives to foster a positive workforce culture.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Compliance
- Provide leadership and support on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation in all operational regions.
- Oversee HR administration: contracts, onboarding, off‑boarding and reporting.
- Manage HR systems and maintain accurate employee records.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiencies within the HR function.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR‑related issues.
- Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting investigations and preparing reports.
- Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, grievances and outcomes.
- Partner with leaders to proactively address performance concerns and coach on performance improvement strategies.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
- Support business leaders in workforce planning and organisational structure decisions.
- Lead and execute key HR projects, including engagement and retention initiatives.
- Partner with international leaders to align HR practices with business strategy.
- Manage immigration and international relocation processes, working with consultants as required.
Training & Development
- Provide coaching and support to managers and team members on HR‑related matters.
- Assist in the design and implementation of talent development programmes when required.
Culture & Engagement
- Champion company culture and values to foster a positive work environment.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support HR‑related events.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement diversity, equity and inclusion programmes.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HR Management or HR Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business or Employment Law.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws.
- Experience managing employee relations cases and investigations; experience managing ACAS.
- Ability to analyse HR data, identify trends and develop strategic plans.
- Strong problem‑solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience using HR systems and handling HR administration processes.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
