A public safety organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Resilience Officer for the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. The successful applicant will lead various emergency planning workstreams, develop training exercises, and manage competing demands effectively. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, be able to adapt to changing situations, and live within an hour of Oxfordshire. About the Role
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have previous experience of working in a Local Authority, Category 1 organisation, Emergency Planning or Business Continuity environment or the enthusiasm to learn a variety of skills quickly. This role will include several identified planning workstreams which you will take the lead for writing plans and producing training and exercising. This role includes participating in the on‑call rota once competent. This is a busy role with many competing demands. This role will involve meeting and working with a variety of staff and partners and attending and Chairing meetings both within the county and in neighbouring counties.
About you
You should have the ability to workindependentlyand be able to prioritise competing demands and pressures to meet the deadlines.Excellent communication, attention to detail, numeracy and literacy skills including ability to gather and compile information in various formats, analyse and presenting the information in a clear way is essential for this role. You should have with the ability to use Microsoft applications effectively.You should be able to work within a team and have flexibility to adapt to challenging incidents that may disrupt planned work and may require out of hours working. You must be able to drive and live within an hour of Oxfordshire.
