Research Metrics and Open Infrastructure Lead
About the role

The Open Scholarship Support team helps the University make research more open, transparent, and straightforward to share.

In this role, you will support the development of responsible research metrics and open research tools, helping Oxford understand and communicate research performance in a fair and meaningful way. You will work closely with colleagues across the University to provide guidance on bibliometrics, altmetrics, and research indicators, and will support services such as ORCID, OSF (Open Science Framework), and SHOx (Shortform Hosting at Oxford).

This is a full‑time post, working 37.5 hours per week. This role supports remote working up to 3 days per week.

About You

You will have experience working with research metrics and an understanding of responsible metrics principles. You should be confident using bibliometric tools and data sources and be able to communicate findings clearly. Strong analytical skills, experience working with data, and the ability to work collaboratively will be important.

Experience with open research tools, research infrastructure, or data management systems would be helpful.
