About the Company

Deal Lite is a Company and Investor Intelligence platform that allows you to discover rapidly growing tech companies in the UK and the investors that are funding them.

Deal Lite offers the following:

• Deals: UK tech investments that have happened during a certain period of time
• Investors: the investment portfolio of UK’s active investors
• Companies: the funding history of fast-growing tech companies in the UK

This platform is useful for companies and investors alike. Companies can identify potential investors to raise funding and investors can identify companies that present the best investment opportunities.

About the Volunteer Opportunity

As a Research and Data Collection Volunteer, your role would be to regularly go through sources of information to identify mergers and acquisitions that are happening in the UK technology industry. These sources of information could be news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, newsletters etc.

You will have to then capture the information regarding the merger or acquisition and enter it onto a spreadsheet.

It will be important to stay up-to-date on the UK technology landscape and consistently find new sources of information where you can collect information from as the data you collect will be used to update our news site https://www.uktechexits.news.

NOTE: This role is not related to Data Analytics. It has more to do with researching and capturing data.

Duration

• 3 months
• At least 2 hours per day
• Part-time
• Remote

Working with our CEO and Deal Collection and Publication Lead, your volunteer role includes:

• Consistently scout news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, newsletters to identify mergers and acquisitions that are taking place in the UK technology industry.
• Identify and capture data such as the company names, dates, etc.
• Enter this data onto a Google spreadsheet.

Acquired Experience and Skills

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience towards a research/data entry related role and significantly improve your understanding of the technology industry in the UK. You would also have the option to move to the Data Entry, Data Audit or Data Enrichment teams later by extending your volunteer term.
