Job description
Rental Equipment Specialist

Location: Field based – North Region

Job Type: Permanent, Full time, onsite at the trust

Shift Pattern: 35 hours Monday to Friday

The impact you will have

As the Rental Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting Arjo’s NHS Trust contracts by ensuring rental medical assets are correctly allocated, operationally managed, and efficiently tracked. This role is designed to streamline processes, reduce costs and strengthen partnerships within our contracted accounts.

This role will require you to hold a valid UK Driving Licence as you will be working 1 day at each of the following locations: Airedale, Sheffield and Lincoln, plus 2 days at Leeds.

The skills you will need
Asset Allocation & Management
  • Ensure all rental equipment is allocated to the correct patient and ward.
  • Monitor operational status of equipment and resolve issues promptly.
  • Cancel and coordinate collection of equipment that is outstanding or no longer required.
Trust & Clinical Support
  • Work closely with onsite Clinical Nurse Advisors to identify training gaps and provide support.
  • Collaborate with trust staff to improve record-keeping accuracy in line with NHS guidelines.
  • Assist with aged debt queries by reallocating assets to the correct ward or patient.
Reporting & Insights
  • Run regular reports on activities, including cost-saving data for trusts.
  • Provide insights into equipment utilisation, highlighting opportunities for efficiency and savings.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records to support operational planning.
Partnership & Customer Focus
  • Deliver proactive support to trusts, reinforcing Arjo’s partnership approach.
  • Contribute to cost savings by reducing ad hoc collections and improving asset flow.
  • Strengthen customer relationships in vulnerable accounts ahead of contract renewals.
The successful candidate will have or should be willing to work towards the following:
  • Proven ability to apply strong organisational and problem‑solving skills within complex, fast‑paced environments.
  • Experienced in developing and sustaining effective working relationships, fostering collaboration and engagement across teams.
  • Solid background in reporting and cost‑saving analysis, with an analytical approach that converts operational data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of complex functions, with a track record of producing detailed and accurate reports.
  • Skilled in data analysis, presenting findings with clear financial values to demonstrate cost savings and impact.
  • Experience working across multiple sites, with the flexibility and commitment to travel and deliver full‑day (9am–5pm) responsibilities at designated trusts.
  • IT: Good level Microsoft Office skills namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with NHS guidelines and compliance requirements, ensuring accurate record‑keeping and adherence to standards.
