Located in the heart of Yorkshire, we pride ourselves on manufacturing over 40,000 window coverings each month, including wooden venetian blinds, roman blinds, roller blinds, vertical blinds, day & night blinds, perfect fit blinds, shutters, curtains and more.

Background

G&B already has more than 3,000 trade accounts nationwide. Following significant investment across the product range, factory, samples and marketing, the trade business is geared for an exciting new chapter. As a National Sales Manager you will represent G&B, delivering a best‑in‑class service that drives growth through existing and new accounts.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage relationships across a portfolio of existing accounts, establishing trust and maximizing G&B’s share of those accounts’ window‑covering spend.
  • Seek and convert new business development opportunities, establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Qualify sales opportunities through existing and potential new accounts, tailoring the approach and prioritizing activities.
  • Maintain and manage your diary for maximum effectiveness, sharing with line management.
  • Maximise revenue and profit margins from all customer interactions.
  • Utilise the company management information systems, including the CRM database and other MI.
  • Promote multiple product categories to new and existing customers to enhance cross‑category sales.
  • Develop business within new markets where possible.
  • Maximise distribution, revenue and return on investment from all available sampling.
  • Support the development and delivery of go‑to‑market sales plans for products and services.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations for new product development (NPD) opportunities and priorities.
  • Support the shaping and development of the commercial strategy, including business planning and budgeting.
  • Identify, deliver and manage suitable commercial JV partnership opportunities.
  • Attend events and shows where G&B exhibits.
  • Deliver structured customer feedback and insight to the business regarding trends, product, quality and service.
  • Be a strong and positive brand ambassador for the company.
  • Support both line management and the wider business leadership team.
  • Lead by example, supporting the development of the wider trade team.
  • Hold weekly 1:1s with line management and produce weekly and monthly reports as necessary.
Person Specification
  • 3–5 years’ experience within the blinds industry in a similar sales‑related role.
  • Experience of window coverings wholesale is preferable.
  • Experience specific to soft fabrics/textiles is desirable.
  • Experience dealing with larger commercial customers and tenders is desirable.
  • Experience and engagement on social media platforms is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proven self‑starter who works on own initiative while being a team player.
  • Positive, proactive and professional ‘can‑do’ attitude.
  • Ability to identify potential opportunities, scope solutions and share recommendations with line management and leadership.
  • Ambition to progress further over time in a growing company.
Package
  • Basic salary: £40,000–£45,000 (subject to candidate/location).
  • Commission/bonus: up to 20% of salary paid monthly.
  • Location: nationwide UK; minimum 3 days per week on the road, approx. 2 days per month in office, 5 days per month working from home or office (first two weeks induction based in office).
  • Probation: 6 months with monthly check‑in and formal review at 3 months.
  • Expenses: Company car with fuel for work travel covered, accommodation and food allowance when necessary.
