As our Cook, you will have lots of stamina, patience, creativity and imagination with an abundance of great ideas to enhance meal times. The key responsibilities of the role include the planning, preparation and serving of age appropriate, nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks catering for the children’s individual dietary requirements and food allergies. You will be responsible for the ordering, control, storage and rotation of kitchen stock and ensuring that you and Kitchen Assistants ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation. A minimum NVQ Level 2 in food hygiene is an essential requirement along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency.
