About the role

We have anexcitingopportunity for anenthusiastic Kitchen Assistant. As part of the busy catering team, we would love to welcome a new colleague who can bring creativityand imagination withan abundanceof great ideas to enhancemealtimes.Ideallyyou will have previousexperiencewithin a busy catering environment.

The key responsibilities of the role include assisting the cook in the management of the nursery kitchens, food policies, organising, preparing, and serving nursery meals in accordance with the nursery menus and individual dietary requirements. You will be a good role model to the children, demonstrating patience and encouragement and take all the necessary steps to safeguard children by following policies and procedures in place.You will be required to work 11.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Thursday. A current Food Hygiene certificate is a requirement for this role however we can provide training for the ideal candidate. Our Kitchen Assistantsensure hygiene andcleanlinesswithin the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance withEnvironmentalHealthrequirementsand legislation.Excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agencywould be highly desirable.
