Applications are invited for the post of Radiology Research Fellow h based in the Department of Radiology. The Drug Development Unit, a designated Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, is widely regarded as the worldwide leader in phase I clinical trials. We have our own dedicated in-patient and daycare (and some outpatient facilities) unit, Oak Ward, within the Royal Marsden.
The post-holder should hold a primary medical degree (M.B., B.S or equivalent) and be currently undertaking training in Diagnostic Radiology.
This is a good opportunity for a research-focused training in functional imaging and imaging research methods and the post-holder will learn about Functional Research Ultra Sound, whole body MRI, and apply image analysis tools to evaluate imaging datasets, working within a multidisciplinary environment with the Drug Development Unit and Prostate Targeted Therapy Group. The fellowship will be supervised by Dr. Nina Tunariu.

Flu Vaccination – What We Expect of our Staff
At The Royal Marsden we have an immune compromised patient population who we must protect as much as we can against the flu virus. Each year, seasonal flu affects thousands of people in the UK. Occurring mainly in winter, it is an infectious respiratory disease capable of producing symptoms ranging from those similar to a common cold, through to very severe or even fatal disease.
The wellbeing of our staff and patients is of the upmost importance to us, and it is the expectation of The Royal Marsden that all patient-facing staff have an annual flu vaccination, provided free of charge by the Trust.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
