Job description
Job Overview

We are looking for a caring individual with (or working towards) a NVQ Level 2/3 or Health & Social Care qualification to support a busy Imaging department at Princess Royal Hospital. The role involves assisting with patient flow and cannulation, requires evening and weekend work and may involve visiting other Trust sites on rare occasions.

Main Duties
  • Actively participate as a member of the imaging team and assist with the smooth running of the department, particularly in CT and Fluoroscopy.
  • Assist radiographers, radiologists and nurses with individualised patient care, including cannulation.
  • Support operational flow and patient preparation for procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to information governance.
  • Provide holistic care and effective communication within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Screen patients and prepare them for appropriate procedures, ensuring patient safety.
  • Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
  • Achieve competence in intravenous cannulation following training.
