Radiographer CT/MR – Cross sectional Imaging Radiographer to join the team in CT and MRI scanning. Band 6.
The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of around 250,000 people in the Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and Waveney areas. The Trust provides an integrated hospital and community children’s service. We are looking for a Band 6 Cross sectional Imaging Radiographer to join our team in CT and MRI scanning. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of CT & MRI and will work alongside our current team on the rota. Radiographers work in both CT and MR scanning on a 24/7 shift pattern. Staff are on-site for 12 hours at a time in most cases. We operate across multiple areas including CDCs for imaging with two sites within an 8 mile radius of the main hospital.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to ensure that each patient receives a good experience from a friendly and understanding approach. The team prioritises patient-centered care and collaboration.
Responsibilities include CT and MR scanning, recording, booking appointments, use of the RIS system, IV cannulation and patient care activities. The role involves a variety of work including cardiac CT, perfusion CT, dedicated GA sessions in MR, MR arthrograms and angiography. The Trust supports trials, research and audit and collaborates with multiple areas to provide timely service.
This position suits a flexible, eager-to-learn and caring person with strong communication skills. Annex 21 training post may be considered for the right candidate.
