Job Description

What will you be doing? Our national R&D team works closely together to collaborate and provide ideas, tackling an interesting portfolio of large and complex clients that offer rewarding incentives and relief advisory work. We are an entrepreneurial business line with a culture people enjoy.

Responsibilities
  • Working alongside Partners/Directors or independently to identify, prospect for and deliver support and advice on R&D tax credits to existing and new clients.
  • Advising clients on the quantum of claims, identifying and analysing qualifying expenditure and setting this out in claims submitted to HMRC.
  • Business development – utilising specialist R&D tax expertise to identify new opportunities to make claims and leveraging our network of potential clients and intermediaries.
Qualifications

Experience required:

  • Significant R&D tax experience in the IT/Software industry working with a variety of client sizes, complexities and sector focuses.
  • Knowledge of HMRC processes for reviewing claims and technical understanding of what constitutes qualifying activities for R&D tax incentives.
  • Demonstrable understanding of UK and International businesses and how R&D tax services can be best delivered to benefit them.
  • Track record of business development, winning business from both new and existing clients.
  • Technically capable adviser able to manage complex client work.
  • Experience managing people and clients.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders internally and externally.

Professional Qualifications and Education:

  • Finance, accounting, or software qualification.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA) and/or tax advisor (CTA).
