# Quality Matron Bank## Job IntroductionSalary: £28.13 per hourLocation: Brushwood and Millvina Care homes, with travel to Wavertree Head office Contract: BankWhat will you be doing* Work in collaboration with the Local Authorities and encompass leadership, education, development, quality improvement and management of the nursing teams within the care homes.* Support the division with input to quality improvement initiatives and role out the internal accreditation program.* Provide dedicated on-site support to complete an initial assessment into current provision, collaborate with the local authority and CQC regulations. Identify gaps in service provision developing and implementing improvement plans.* Investigate and manager complaints and quality concerns, ensuring adult safeguarding policies and procedures are in line with PC24 and Local Authority requirements.* Ensure a robust system is in place to report and manager any incidents, escalating and providing feedback.* Prioritise team workload and oversight of staffing requirements, across both units to meet safe staffing guidelines. Ensure ‘Safety Huddles’ take place.* Be visibly present to support and manage all aspects of people management for direct reports. Including absence management, performance management, objective setting and training.* Train and educate care home staff in matters relating to quality and patient safety to ensure that they have the correct skills and competencies. Include early recognition and deterioration of patients and escalations into established care pathways.* Maintain an up to date awareness of all key aspects of the role including interpretation and implementation of policies.* Support the Operational Managers to produce relevant KPIs in relation to patient experience, safety and the effectiveness of care in preparation for presentations and ICB meetings.* Provide advice, guidance and up to date information for families, careers and the wider MDT.* Oversee and review admission criteria/eligibility in relation to patient dependency tools and available staffing resources.* Involvement and support of Nurse Recruitment to ensure safe staffing principles are adhered to.What do I need* 1st level registered nurse with a valid PIN* Degree/or demonstrable relevant experience* Evidence of further education/CPD* Experience of working in elderly care/community setting/Local Authority.* Extensive experience of working in a community bedded area-care homes, Intermediate Care Beds.* Clinical Leadership skills* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to co-ordinate and motivate teams.* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.* £28.13 per hour* Bank contract, where you can bid for the available shifts that suit you* NHS Pension Scheme* Eligible to apply for blue light card– Primary Care 24 (PC24) is a not-for-profit social enterprise established in 1990, delivering NHS contracts exclusively.
