Quality Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.

Ideally, you will be based in or around Manchester and will have opportunity to travel to sites across the region.

What you will be doing:

The Quality Manager will provide quality assurance to project teams and maintain an audit program for the region to improve the quality of our project delivery across Building North West.

You Will:
  • Be the regional BMS Champion by promoting knowledge and understanding of the internal quality management at all levels to project teams and in departments.
  • Ensuring project teams are compliant with internal processes, specification and standards and regulations through engagement and via audit.
  • Working in conjunction with project teams to ensure client requirements are achieved.
  • Developing and managing an internal audit programme (1st party audits).
  • Administering an audit programme of suppliers and subcontractors (Supplier audits).
  • Representing the company at client audits (2nd party audits).
  • Representing the company at external audits by certification bodies (3rd party audits).
  • Identifying best practice observed during audit and promote sharing across the business.
  • Establishing where non-conformance exists and working with teams to understand their occurrence.
  • Establishing correction and actions to correct noncompliance, preventing recurrence.
  • Contributing to technical and operations forums and monthly business briefing.
  • Aiding and advising project and department managers on implementation of the BMS.
  • Making recommendations on improvements to the BMS and commitment to continual improvement.
  • Receiving and distributing BMS feedback to relevant people.
  • Enabling the distribution of the BMS, as agreed with local management.
About You:
  • Experience of quality within the construction industry and process management within the construction setting.
  • Understanding of the application of ISO9001:2015.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, client, subcontractor consultant facing role.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continual improvement.
  • Use of Systems Viewpoint for Projects, Field View, auditing software in providing a successful quality assurance service.
