Job Summary:

Teledyne Controls (part of Teledyne UK Ltd) is actively recruiting at our repair facility in Cumbernauld. We have built our reputation on intelligent solutions that collect, manage, and deliver aircraft data efficiently. Our innovative technology and collaborative customer relationships have revolutionized how aircraft operators access, manage, and utilize their data, helping to achieve higher safety, performance, and efficiency standards. We serve over 300 airlines, including major carriers, and supply products to OEMs like Airbus and Boeing.

We seek a team player to join our Quality Department to support the Teledyne Controls business unit. Reporting to the Site Manager, the Quality Manager will oversee compliance with Part 145 / EN9110 and Part 21G / EN9100 standards, with authority and responsibility for monitoring adherence to regulatory and certification standards.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Control and oversee all ISO Management Systems (EN9100/EN9110/ISO14001/ISO45001) and company approvals (Part 145, Part 21G).
  • Liaise with regulatory and certification bodies as needed.
  • Ensure organizational activities comply with applicable requirements and are properly supervised.
  • Establish and maintain an independent audit system to monitor compliance with EASA/CAA/FAA requirements, including audit planning, implementation, and review.
  • Request corrections and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Hold regular meetings with the Accountable Manager to review compliance effectiveness and address discrepancies.
  • Monitor updates to procedures and standards (MOE, POE) for compliance with current regulations.
  • Submit MOE/POE amendments for approval and complete related regulatory forms.
  • Assess suppliers and subcontractors for quality compliance.
  • Manage certification staff approvals (Issue/renewal/cancellation).
  • Notify authorities of maintenance/production activities outside approved locations.
  • Manage safety and occurrence reporting, including investigations and risk assessments.
  • Provide safety performance reports and support safety and quality audits at Heathrow.
  • Perform quality inspections and First Article Inspections (FAI).

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Formal internal auditor training in ISO9001 (essential) and other standards (preferred).
  • Lead Auditor certification in one or more standards.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance Management, preferably within Part 145/21G organizations.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining ISO9001/EN9100/EN9110 management systems.
  • Technical qualifications in engineering with the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems in aviation/avionics.
  • Training in aviation regulations is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is advantageous.
