Social Worker – Children With Disabilities Team - Suffolk - Between £35 - £39 ph

  • Location: Bury St Edmunds – West Suffolk House
  • Rate: £35–£39 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Working Pattern: Minimum 3 days in the office/visits (most of the team attend the office most days; flexibility available for 2 days WFH per week)
About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a dedicated Social Worker to join our Children With Disabilities (CWD) Team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with disabilities and supporting their families. You will play a key role in providing high-quality social work intervention to ensure children receive the support, protection, and services they need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, ensuring high-quality support and safeguarding.
  • Undertake statutory assessments, direct work with children, and visits to families.
  • Develop and review care plans, ensuring they reflect the needs and wishes of the child.
  • Work in partnership with families, schools, health services, and other agencies.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and case conferences.
  • Support children and families through transitions, crisis situations, and long-term planning.
  • Ensure all work complies with legislation, safeguarding standards, and organizational policies.
