Job summary

UK QHSE Manager - Multi Site

The role

You will lead and manage all aspects of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across multiple UK sites, including high‑risk operational environments such as locations with heavy parking equipment and plants. In addition, you will also ensure that all sites operate in accordance with current legislation, ISO standards, internal policies and best practice, thereby fostering a strong culture of safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.

How To Make An Impact
Health & Safety Management
  • Develop, implement and maintain health and safety strategies, policies, procedures and systems across all sites in line with UK legislation and industry best practice.
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits and inspections to identify hazards, ensure compliance and support local teams in high‑risk operational environments.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Quality Management
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) ensuring processes and documentation are compliant and up to date.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring successful certification and surveillance visits.
Environmental Management
  • Develop and implement environmental management practices aligned with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Oversee site waste management processes, including segregation, recycling, disposal and compliance with legal and environmental standards.
Occupational Health & Safety Standards (ISO 45001)
  • Lead implementation and continual improvement of ISO 45001 H&S management system.
  • Prepare for and manage audits and certification processes.
Training And Culture Development
  • Ensure delivery of QHSE training for staff at all levels, including induction, manual handling, COSHH, fire safety, and first aid.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, engagement and behavioural safety initiatives.
Reporting And Monitoring
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, incidents, training and compliance documentation.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly QHSE performance reports to senior management.

Regular travels across the sites and meeting customers 2–3 times a month.

About You
  • Hold NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ QHSE management experience in multi‑site, operationally complex or high‑risk environments.
  • Having NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and IOSH Chartered Member (CMIOSH) or working towards is highly desirable.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in QHSE, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field will be recommended.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards.
  • Proven track record in conducting HSE gap analyses, audits and implementing improvement programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, guidance and industry best practices.
  • Having a valid UK driving licence.
  • IT skills: Microsoft Office and QHSE platforms/systems.
  • Being confident working across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and educate the teams, strong autonomy, attention to detail, results focused.

The role can be based in London or Poole, UK.
