Position Overview:

The QAQC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all works are planned, executed, and delivered in full compliance with quality, health & safety, and client requirements. A key focus of the role is the preparation and review of RAMS, quality documentation control, and the timely close‑out of project documentation to client standards.

The role works closely with operations, engineering, and site teams to ensure that quality and safety requirements are embedded throughout the lifecycle of a project, from planning through to handover.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
  • Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures in line with company standards and client specifications
  • Carry out quality checks, inspections, and audits of works where required
  • Ensure non‑conformances are identified, recorded, and closed out effectively
  • Support the ongoing development of quality systems and processes
RAMS Preparation & Review
  • Prepare, review, and manage Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Ensure RAMS are compliant with current legislation, industry best practice, and client requirements
  • Liaise with operations, engineering, and site teams to develop safe systems of work
  • Assist with task briefings, toolbox talks, and RAMS roll‑out where required
Documentation & Client Close‑Out
  • Compile, manage, and maintain QA/QC documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans, check sheets and quality records, certification and compliance documentation, red‑line drawings, and as‑built information
  • Manage documentation close‑out packs and handover documents for clients
  • Ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and issued in line with client timelines
  • Act as a point of contact for client technical and quality queries
Compliance & Support
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Support audits, client reviews, and inspections
  • Assist in investigations relating to incidents, quality concerns, or near misses
  • Work closely with site and project teams to promote a strong quality and safety culture
Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:
Experience
  • Experience in a QA/QC role within an engineering, construction, utilities, or operational environment
  • Proven experience preparing and reviewing RAMS
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and documentation management
  • Good knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Familiarity with client or regulatory quality requirements
  • Experience compiling client handover packs and document close‑out
Soft Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, engineers, and clients
  • Proactive and self‑motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance
