Project Manager – Aberdeen [Bridge of Don]

Mission

The main focus for the Project Manager will be planning and successful implementation of projects within budgets and timeframes as a key team member of our Subsea Acoustic Systems group. Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, manufacturing personnel and suppliers you will be at the forefront of customer contact, ensuring all project stakeholder’s needs are satisfied.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivery of projects to deadlines and quality standards
  • Manage all financial and contractual aspects of the project, directing and controlling the work.
  • Maintain project plans and submit regular feedback on project status.
  • Control manufacturing, key partners and suppliers to achieve desired delivery.
  • Participate in regular engineering resource planning meetings and strive to ensure efficient use of resources at all times.
  • Be approachable and keep others informed, gain commitment and motivate the team.
  • Be a part of our team that strives to develop & improve project execution and customer satisfaction.
Skills
  • Engineering bachelor degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong people skills, with a positive, constructive and cooperative personality.
  • Sound experience within an engineering design and small batch manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with internal & external clients and management.
  • Experience in technical Project Management.
  • Work with minimum supervision, be self-motivated, driven, and use your initiative to deliver high-quality work.
  • Hands‑on experience in one or more of the following areas would be desirable: subsea engineering, electronic design, oil & gas/energy industry, acoustic system design, defence/naval industry, systems integration.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office and MS Project.
  • Able to plan, organise, prioritise and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Willing to travel.
