Role Description

Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects. We are looking for an experienced Project Director to join our rapidly growing team. You will lead the delivery of one of our biggest data centre construction projects in the Nordics. The successful candidate will be based either 100% in country, or will undertake significant international travel to the Nordics (11/3 rotation).

Role Accountabilities

You’ll be responsible for managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre‑construction, construction, and close‑out/fit‑up.

Pre‑construction
  • Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget
  • Supporting contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations
  • Supporting contract negotiations
  • Assisting the client and the client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying‑out and scheduling of all owner‑direct vendors and consultants
Construction
  • Managing the general contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground
  • Coordinating value engineering efforts during the construction phase
  • Working with the client’s commercial and PCG team to develop budget management and tracking
  • Liaising with the client’s schedule management team to provide schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis
Close‑out/Fit‑up
  • Initiating close‑out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance
  • Establishing close‑out documentation requirements with the client’s document controller; collecting and tracking receipt of all close‑out documents until completion, including warranties, as‑built reports, O & M manuals, etc.
  • Assisting with city and/or other authority final inspections and occupancy process
  • Assisting the client in scheduling, coordination and management of all owner‑direct vendors, consultants

  • Experience working on data centre new‑build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of other discipline‑specific owner’s representatives to achieve the objectives set by the client.
  • Ability to commit to significant international travel.
