Qualifications

  • MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor or near attainment.
  • Experience with complex construction projects in the Research, Technology, and Life Science sector.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services.
  • Work on projects from inception through to completion including cost estimates and contract management.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes.

Skills

Project Cost Manager – Life Sciences UK

Role Description

We’re excited to grow our Life Science & Research Science Cost Management team. We are looking for an experienced Project Cost Consultant to join us in delivering high‑profile research, technological, and life‑science facilities for market‑leading national and global clients.

Role Accountabilities
  • Provide professional Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services to high‑profile clients working on science facilities across the UK & Europe, focusing on London, Oxford, and Cambridge.
  • Work on projects from inception through to completion, including cost estimates/feasibilities, benchmarking, procurement processes, reviewing and agreeing contractor proposals, and contract management.
  • Develop your career within a collaborative team environment and work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team that delivers excellent service and positive outcomes for clients.
Qualifications & Experience
  • MRICS Chartered Quantity Surveyor (or near attainment)
  • Good understanding of key drivers of cost and value
  • Passionate about driving innovation in service and delivering exceptional results
  • Experience working on complex construction projects, ideally within the Research, Technology and Life Science sector
  • Experience leading lower‑value projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build good client relationships
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience with Digital Cost Management and tools such as CostX, 5D BIM, and benchmarking tools
