A dynamic energy storage company is looking for a Production Engineering Manager to lead teams across multiple sites including Bathgate. This role involves supporting growth through process improvements, resolving production issues, and ensuring the effective implementation of new manufacturing processes. Ideal for an experienced leader or senior engineer, offering an opportunity to shape a growing organisation and be part of the renewable energy transition. Competitive benefits and a supportive work culture are provided.
Energy storage is the most exciting area in energy today. Massive amounts of energy storage are required if renewable energy is to take its rightful place on the electric grid. Invinity provides an alternative to the most common type of battery, lithium-ion because the battery technology that works so well in our pockets doesn't work as well at the grid scale; it wears out, limits use, and even catches fire.
Manufactured as a standardised product in a factory, Invinity's vanadium flow batteries don't degrade, won't catch fire, and can be operated continuously from full charge to full discharge for over 30 years. Invinity has 75 megawatt-hours of its modular battery systems in 82 projects across 15 countries - more than any other company in the space. We've deployed the largest flow battery systems in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK, and are supported by the UK's National Wealth Fund, some of the world's leading institutional investors and our projects are backed by major institutions including the U.S. Department of Energy and the UK Government.
A compelling product and recent funding put Invinity in a position to grow dramatically as it addresses the global imperative for stationary energy storage. Join us as we help transform renewable energy into a stable and dependable contributor to the transition to net zero.
Invinity has operations in the UK, Canada and the U.S. and trades publicly in the UK on AIM and in the U.S. on OTCQX. For more information about us visit our webpage.
As a small and growing company, there is significant opportunity to shape the role and an expectation for both team and independent working.
This is a compelling opportunity to join an organisation with dynamic growth plans and may suit either an experienced Engineering Leader or equally, a senior-level Engineer seeking their next career step.
This role will lead our Production Engineering team who will be dedicated to supporting our sites meet planned growth. This team will work closely with our Manufacturing Managers, ensuring all metrics are measured and achieved, quickly supporting issue and NCR resolution whilst driving continuous process improvement.
Working very closely with the Manufacturing (NPI) Engineering team, they will ensure manufacturing processes for new products and automation projects are implemented to plan and standardised across all sites. The team will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and for delivering robust analysis of the benefits.
We continuously review and enhance our staff benefits, and this remains an important focus for Invinity as the business grows. We also operate a share option scheme, enabling employees to participate in the long‑term success of the company. Our ambition is to become best in class not only in the UK, but across all our global sites. Achieving this takes time and balance, but it is central to our commitment to being incrementally better, year on year. Some of our benefits are automatic upon passing probation.
At Invinity, we are actively focused on increasing the representation of women across all levels of our organisation, particularly within our engineering, manufacturing and technical teams. We believe that diverse perspectives drive better innovation, and we are committed to providing a working environment where women can thrive, lead, and progress their careers in STEM.
