Contract Type: Fixed‑term apprenticeship, full‑time for 13 months

Department: BBC Sounds London

Location: London – Broadcasting House

Salary: £22,950 (+ £5,441 London weighting)

About the Role

Join us as an apprentice at the BBC to kick‑start your career in production and social media. You’ll learn on‑the‑job, developing your skills and working towards a Level 3 Production Assistant qualification.

What You’ll Do
  • Film behind‑the‑scenes formats with radio presenters
  • Publish content to our channels during events such as Glastonbury or Radio 2 In the Park
  • Write and send regular performance headlines and insights to teams and stakeholders
  • Share feedback on strategy and tactics in regular review sessions
  • Work alongside a busy, creative team

Eligibility

To be considered you must meet the following:

  • Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship starts in September 2026
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years before start
  • Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the apprenticeship duration
  • Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme
  • No prior learning required

For candidates under 19 years old at 8 September 2026 you must hold an appropriate GCSE or equivalent functional skills qualification.
